Management system monitoring after Certification:

Once the certification is received (be it QMS, EMS or OHSAS), it is equally important for the organization to regularly review the compliance status. This is done by internal audits for which the frequency is already defined. We engage ourselves to carry out the internal audits on behalf of the organization. By doing so, we shall be able to

  • Determine the conformity and effectiveness of the management system
  • Identify areas for improvement
  • Continually improve the management system

Following are the activities as a part of Management system monitoring:

  • Prepare and agree on an annual schedule with the client for the system audit, process audit and control plan audit.
  • Execute periodical system audits to assess the system implementation
  • Execute periodical process audits to assess the process adherence to the requirements. As a part of process audit, Control plan audit is also performed wherever applicable.
  • Discuss the result with the detailed observations to the Management. We also provide our proposals for improving the health of the system.
  • Support the core team to work on the gap areas
  • Provide refresher training to the people, whenever required.

Quality tools implementation:

Irrespective of whether the Quality tools training is provided by us or not, 3i Quality Consultants engages itself to work with the clients for Quality Tools implementation support. This includes

  • Identification of the type of tool required
  • Supporting the team for initial implementation
  • Monitoring the team for effective use of the tool and to provide additional training if required
  • Arrange through external supplier if any software support is required

Customer claims reduction:

One of the main focuses of ISO 9001:2008 is Customer satisfaction. From the point of view of Quality, customer claims is one factor that is directly related to customer satisfaction. At 3i Quality Consultants, we provide a scientific and systematic approach to reduce customer claims. Based on our experience with all types of industries, we feel that most of the organizations undoubtedly possess a strong knowledge of the process and the product they manufacture/ deal with. However some organizations will need support on the concept/methodology to work for the claim reduction- like doing the prioritization, problem analysis, root cause identification etc. We provide our consultancy for such areas thereby assuring the enhanced customer satisfaction as the result.

Our approach towards customer claims reduction is as below-

  • Propose for a CFT (Cross Functional Team) that the consultant would work with
  • Assess the current situation in terms of customer claims
  • Prioritizing the problems and identifying the main area(s) that need to be worked on
  • Perform a detailed problem analysis
    • Brainstorming
    • Listing out the potential causes
    • Validation of the potential causes
    • Identification of the significant causes
  • Take corrective action for the significant causes
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the corrective actions
  • Populate lessons learnt for the future references

In-house rejection/ rework reduction:

Normally in any organization, most of the hidden costs are contributed by the internal rejections and reworks. The internal rejections and rework process is so regular that, in routine life, it becomes a standard activity in itself. However if we look at these closely, we can identify a huge potential for improvement which helps in cost reduction thereby improving the profit. At 3i Quality Consultants, we provide a scientific and systematic approach to reduce in-house rejection and rework. With the product/ process knowledge coming from the client people and the concept knowledge from the consultant, the end result will be cost reduction.

Supplier development activities:

For any organization, the final product quality has great relation to the quality of the products supplied by its suppliers. To have a consistent quality product from the suppliers, it is essential that the supplier has a sound management system. At 3i Quality Consultants, we provide necessary support to the organizations that are looking for supplier development activities. We will perform Supplier Qualification audit on behalf of the clients and also will perform the annual process audit. At the end of the audit, we will put our experience to categorize whether the supplier will be able to consistently satisfy the requirements of the clients or not. If required by the client, we will work along with the suppliers to bring them up to the required level.
